This Morning's Alison Hammond is said to be feeling better than ever, due to her jaw-dropping weight loss.
Once a size 28, the 49-year-old has reportedly shed nearly eight stone by eliminating sugar from her diet, increasing her physical activity, and working with a personal trainer.
Alison embarked on this lifestyle transformation back in 2020 after receiving a prediabetes diagnosis, and a warning about potential future health complications.
At that time, she expressed her fears, saying: "I've never had health issues until then. It scared me because my mum had diabetes and I want to be there for my son. So I decided to do something about it."
True to her word, Alison regularly shares updates about her fitness routine on social media, which includes a combination of weightlifting, cardio, and circuit training.
A source has now commented on her progress, stating: "Alison has no intention of sliding back into her old ways, she is still on a marathon course to keep going. Her new look has empowered her.
"She loves being able to shop for clothes on the high street that aren't just plus-sized.
"She knows she was big and beautiful, but it was affecting her health in so many ways - there is a serious side to being overweight.
"She says she used her personality to override it, but she was ultimately in denial," reports the Mirror.
Speaking to Bella Magazine, the source further revealed that the mother-of-one appears to have lost almost eight stone and by doing so, she has "extended her life expectancy by 30 years".
TV favourite Alison grew emotional on This Morning back in 2022 when she discussed the reality of obesity.
As part of a phone-in segment, she shared: "I've had obesity all my life. What it is, your regulation system is out of whack.
"You can't control wanting to eat all the time. A lot of people don't realise - obesity is a disease. You can't help it.
Struggling to hold back tears, Alison continued: "I think people look down on people when they're so big. They can't actually help it."
The presenter has previously tried to manage her weight by having a gastric band put in, but had this removed three years later.
On her reasons why, she told Express.co.uk: "I'd literally be feeling sick and I thought, 'This isn't normal. I don't want to do this anymore'.
"So after about three years I asked the surgeon to take it out. I was over the moon when I got rid of it."
