TV personality Alison Hammond is reportedly considering adoption as her relationship with 27-year-old masseur David continues to grow. The 49-year-old presenter, who has been dating David since earlier this year, is said to be contemplating expanding her family.
A source told Closer UK: "Alison always saw herself with at least four kids, but it didn't happen and she openly regrets that."
They added: "As a result, she has always said that she would adopt a small army of kids if she could. She has so much love to give but it's finding the time."
Alison is already mum to Aiden, 19, who she had with taxi driver Noureddine Boufaied in 2005. It's reported that she met her current beau David when he was hired as a massage therapist towards the end of 2023.
On the topic of expanding her family, the source continued: "She knows it may not be possible now to have more biologically, but she believes that adoption is something that she could see in her future.", reports the Mirror.
This news comes just weeks after the This Morning host revealed she had made significant lifestyle changes following a prediabetic diagnosis in 2020. Reports suggest that Alison has lost nearly eight stone (50.8kg) by hiring a personal trainer, eliminating sugar from her diet and increasing her physical activity.
Speaking about her motivation to shed the pounds, she shared: "I've never had health issues until then. It scared me because my mum had diabetes and I want to be there for my son. So I decided to do something about it."
A confidante revealed to Bella Magazine details on Alison's weight loss journey: "Alison has no intention of sliding back into her old ways, she is still on a marathon course to keep going.
"Her new look has empowered her. She loves being able to shop for clothes on the high street that aren't just plus-sized."
They further commented: "She knows she was big and beautiful, but it was affecting her health in so many ways - there is a serious side to being overweight. She says she used her personality to override it, but she was ultimately in denial."
The Daily Mirror approached Alison Hammond for comment.
