Cleaning the bathroom is nobody's favourite household chore, but unfortunately it's got to be done if you want to keep the room fresh and sanitary.
Because of this, many people tend to put off this task, choosing to tackle it all in the one go once a week - which can take a long time after the mess has been building up.
However, one professional cleaner on social media has cracked the code with a 'life-changing' tip that will shave 'hours' off your cleaning time every week. And even better, it's so simple to do, and can quickly become a habit.

Kendra Hennessy, also known as @themotherlikeaboss on TikTok, shared the 'genius' tip with her followers, saying she does this in her own home. According to the pro, it keeps the bathroom - or any other room - clean and tidy with almost no time or effort at all.
In the viral video, which boasts over 60.9 thousand likes, she said: "For most people, cleaning the bathroom is an overwhelming task that they have to carve out a lot of time for. And if you hate cleaning bathrooms, that's no fun to do."
But by making one subtle change to your routine, you can drastically cut down on the time it takes to do this chore. Kendra recommends adopting something called the 'do-then-clean' method, which she said only takes around 60 seconds to do.
Giving an example, she said: "A few times a week, after I brush my teeth, I wipe down the sink. It literally takes less than a minute to do, and then I don't have to worry about chiselling off all the toothpaste, gunk and hair that gets into the sink.
"I wipe down the glass shower while I'm in the shower a couple of times a week as well. Again, it only takes me about 60 seconds, and it prevents all of the nasty soap, scum and water marks from getting on the glass."
Kendra explained that keeping your home clean is made 'way less complicated' when you realise you don't have to wait for a specific time to get the job done, as these little tasks can become part of your routine. She said: "These tiny maintenance tasks cut hours off my cleaning time over the course of the week."
Anything you can do in a very short space of time, like wiping down surfaces or taking hair out of the drain, you can 'anchor' to other habits - like showering or brushing your teeth. She continued: "I'm telling you as a cleaning expert that the 'do-then-clean' method is the reason that my house stays as clean as it does."
In the comments, people thanked Kendra for sharing this tip, with many giving their own examples of tasks they do at home.
One person said: "This is probably one of the most helpful tips I have ever heard. Definitely implementing this into my life!"
"Simple but great tips!" penned another, while a third wrote: "Wash face every night, use a clean washcloth to dry your face, use it to wipe down the sink and counter, throw in hamper. Done."
