Inside Namaste and Club Prosecco Lounge as Gateshead Indian restaurant unveils huge transformation
The transformed restaurant that has even featured on TV has a striking new look and stunning new bar
Gateshead regulars are in for a treat, as Namaste restaurant has unveiled a transformative new look ahead of summer, customers can enjoy a curry in its beautiful surroundings, and sample the thirst-quenching drinks the Club Prosecco Lounge has to offer.
Dubbed ‘Modern Indian Cuisine with an exclusive edge’ Namaste Indian Restaurant has always been popular with locals, and even gained small screen stardom, having featured on Come Dine With Me: The Professionals in 2022.
Ahmad Forhad explains the new look which has only recently been unveiled, has already proven very popular with customers: "We have transformed the whole of the inside, fitted with new furnishings to make a very luxury feel, and a comfortable, cosy layout, as well as a brand new larger bar serving up a great selection of drinks including our extensive list of cocktails and cocktail trees."
The modern look is complete with a bespoke instagramable flower wall, feature glass chandelier, and mood lighting throughout the whole restaurant including the brand new bigger bar. New for dishes have also been added to accompany the transformation: "Our new summer menu reflects authentic dishes, but with a modern Indian twist - customers can pick from lamb, fish, chicken and lots of vegan options, 2 courses from £15, or upgrade to 3 for £5 extra," Ahmad continued. "We have a range of lunch deals, happy hour, and of course the popular bottomless brunch can be booked everyday."
The Sunniside restaurant and club prosecco lounge opened back in 2019 after the success of the first branch in South Shields, that has hosted the likes of Geordie Shore cast members, and won several awards, including being named the North East's Best Restaurant and Most Wanted Restaurant in the North East at the English Curry Awards.
In keeping with the modern look is also a stunning outdoor terrace, fitted with ample seating options and heaters perfect for those colder nights, where customers can enjoy dinner and drinks in the sun. Customers can also expect to hear plenty of live music gigs planned across the summer, as Namaste are set host a range of talent on both Saturday and Sunday nights
