Jermaine Jenas is hotly tipped to appear on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, after his name appeared on a 'leaked' list of contestants for this year. And speculation that he will take a spin in the ballroom comes as he's been linked with high profile jobs on Match of the Day.
The former England midfielder, famous for playing for the likes of Newcastle and Spurs, made the switch to TV presenting a few years ago, having been forced to retire from football due to a painful knee injury. BBC viewers are used to seeing Jermaine host The One Show, as well as being a sports pundit and, more recently, the now 41-year-old made the switch to anchoring coverage of Formula E, in a rather unexpected career move.
In the last few weeks, amid continued speculation over Gary Lineker's future on Match of the Day, Jermaine has been identified as the 'clear favourite' to replace the ex England striker, should he be given his marching orders or leave of his own accord. And, on Tuesday, Jermaine was also top of the odds on who will replace Ian Wright as a full; time member of the Saturday night shoe's team, after Ian announced his exit halfway through last season.

However, amid all of the buzz surrounding Jermaine and Match of the Day, he could end up being too busy to commit to the programme, as his name has now appeared on a 'leaked' list of Strictly 2024 contestants, with an official announcement on who will take part this year due in the coming weeks.
Other stars who feature on the list, which has been widely circulated online, include I'm A Celebrity finalist and Capital Breakfast host Jordan North, Ted Lasso star and Eurovision host Hannah Waddingham, Blue's Duncan James, Loose Women panellist Janet Street-Porter and TOWIE favourite turned podcast star Pete Wicks.
