A Newcastle Bigg Night Out showing fun in the city in summer 2004-2005
Here's a pick of 10 nostalgic images showing nights out in the city
Were you out and about around the city centre this time of year in 2004 or 2005? If so, maybe you or some of our mates were captured by our cameras.
Our Chronicle photographers were out and about around Newcastle each week from 1992 until 2012, to take images of people having a good time around the Bigg Market. And now we revive those images from the archives for our weekly online round-up celebrating big nights out from over the years.
This time we've chosen a few scenes from July 2004 and June 2005 showing groups of pals having fun. We hope they revive some happy memories.

Back in July 2004, top singles included Good Luck by Basement Jaxx, featuring Lisa Kekaul, and Morrissey's First of the Gang to Die. The following summer it was the turn of Gorillaz' Feel Good Inc. to light up the dance floors - soon to be followed by a whole flood of hits including James Blunt's You're Beautiful; Paul McCartney and U2's version of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Elton John's Electricity.
