Newcastle United have today released details of their stunning new third kit for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign.

An eye-catching mint design, with colours including green, white and black, the Magpies crest has been redesigned in a homage to their storied past from the late 1980s. Inspired by the 1990/00 adidas away kit, the three stripes return to the shoulders as well as a delicate pop of green to bring the shirt to life.

The new release, available to purchase now in the official club store at St. James’ Park and at shop.newcastleunited.com, will be worn on the pitch for the first time by the men’s team during a pre-fixture against Yokohama F. Marinos in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday 3rd August.

Peter Silverstone, Chief Commercial Officer at Newcastle United Football Club, said in an official club communication: “Adidas has a deep understanding of Newcastle United's DNA, and that is clear to see in the design of our new third kit.

"From the use of the club's nostalgic 1980s crest, through to a design evoking Sir Bobby Robson's team at the turn of the millennium, it is an innovative approach to a classic kit.

"We look forward to seeing the team wearing it for the first time in Japan, and to seeing our fans around the world wearing their colours with pride across the exciting season ahead."

Inigo Turner, Design Director at adidas Football, said: “The 2024/25 third kit is a perfect blend of classic and contemporary design. We wanted to tap into the raw energy and nostalgia of the '90s, a period synonymous with both adidas EQT and the re-emergence of Newcastle United’s iconic presence on the pitch.

"This kit is a love letter to that era, blending classic design elements with a modern streetwear edge that resonates with fans of all generations.”
