A massive Ibiza Classics night near Sunderland, hosted by dance legend Pete Tong has been cancelled with just hours to go, leaving many ticket holders upset and disappointed and the famous DJ "devastated"
If you were at Kubix Festival; at Herrington Country Park last weekend, you'll know the weather was far from kind to everyone who went along, with heavy rain lasting for most of the day, turning the site into a bit of a mud bath. And, despite the sunny spells and warm temperatures that greeted the North East on Friday, Ibiza Classics has fallen victim to last weekend's relentless downpours, with organisers blaming the decision to cancel on conditions on site.
A statement put out on social media on Friday afternoon, read: "After 2 weeks of very challenging weather on the site and the pressure on the build that caused it, it is with great regret that we have to announce that tonight’s Ibiza classics show will not be taking place, as planned."

It continued: "Despite the best efforts of the in-house team who worked night and day to deliver the show and Pete Tong’s team who worked with us to try and get the show on, a perfect storm of circumstances have come together to mean we are unable to deliver tonight’s event."
The Monument Festival is in the diary for tomorrow and set to feature a line-up including The Kooks, Jake Bugg and The View and, giving assurances that it will still happen, the statement on Ibiza Classics ended: " While tonight will not be taking place this does not affect Monument Festival which is very much on tomorrow, the sun is shining and set to continue and tomorrow’s event will be going ahead as planned.”
Taking to social media to address the cancellation of Ibiza Classics, Pete Tong wrote: "Despite the great weather today, the volume of rain over the past weeks meant that our production build at the venue could not take place as planned yesterday and can now not be built in time."
