Police confirmed that missing woman Sophie Gettings had been located on Monday, ten days after last being seen.
Northumbria Police had appealed for help finding her. Sophie, 36, had last been seen, police reported, on Friday, July 19, on Close Street, Sunderland. It is believed she may have travelled to Newcastle's city centre or the city's West End. She has now been found.
Northumbria Police said officers were becoming increasingly concerned for Sophie's welfare and have now issued an appeal for help finding her. Sophie is described as 5ft 5ins, of average build and she has ginger hair.
