Sam Fender has caused a meltdown amongst his fanbase with just one word, on his return to Instagram on Monday night.
It's now been over a year since the North Shields music icon basked in the glory of a black and white drenched weekend in Newcastle, as he played two sold out gigs at St James' Park and, rather incredibly, it's now been nearly three years since the release of his second number 1 album Seventeen Going Under.
Sam's fans are desperate for some new music, with the man himself saying he was 'taking time' on his third album to make sure he was 100% happy with it and it looks like something, whether it be a new single, album or the announcement of some tour dates could be on the horizon.

Taking to Instagram for the first time in a while on Monday, Sam uploaded a black and white photo of himself on stage to his story and simply added the word 'Soon' along with a two emojis - a guitar and a pair of eyes, as well as a link to a web page where people could sign up for all the latest updates.
It didn't take long for Sam's fans to screenshot the post and then share it all over social media. Reacting to it on X, one fan wrote: "Sam Fender teasing new music soon ohhhh my geordie lad is coming back to me missed him so much" as another commented: "sam fender is literally back...best day of my life"
Since winning the Brits' Critics Choice award at the start of 2029, Sam has played sell out shows across the globe, hit number 1 with his first two albums, gone down a storm on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury and won another Brit and supported two of his big music icons - Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.
