After sending fans wild with a rather cryptic post on Instagram, Sam Fender has confirmed his live return with a 'warm up' gig next weekend, before his appearance at a major festival.
Having not posted on social media in a while, Sam had his legions of followers in high alert on Monday, when he took to his Insta story to post a black and white photo of himself on stage, along with the caption 'Soon' and a link where fans could sign up for further updates.
Well the cat is now out of the bag, on one gig at least as, amid speculation Sam will perform a 'secret set at a new Newcastle bar, the Brit winner returned to Instagram on Tuesday to announce they he'll be performing at Plymouth Pavilions on Saturday, August 3, was a arm up for his headline appearance at the Boardmasters in Cornwall, a week later on August 10.

Sam's appearance at the annual event was announced back in January, as he joined a bill that also includes Becky Hill, Katy B, Declan McKenna and Holly Humberstone, who supported Sam at his St James' Park gigs last year,
Revealing all on his Plymouth show, Sam wrote: "it’s been a while! We’re going to be playing a Boardmasters warm-up show in Plymouth next Saturday," before explaining that the pre-sale for tickets will start on Wednesday, January 24, before general sale begins at 10am this Friday, July 26. To get pre-sale fans need to sign up HERE by 5pm on Tuesday.
The reaction to Sam's shock announcement was huge, with one fan replying: "Watch hotels and train tickets price rocket up in 3, 2, 1…" and another commenting: "Now I have to travel to Cornwall 2 weeks in a row"
There was also a lot of interest in Ssm's post from fans back on home turf in Newcastle, with one of his Geordie followers responding: "home town show pls (sic) & thank u" and HMV Newcastle taking to the comment section to tell him: "Wey if you never need a place for a more local warm up show - you know where we are Sam"
