Take a look inside The Company Row in Consett following the Wetherspoons pub's £1.8 million refurbishment. The pub has reopened with an additional five full and part-time jobs created as a result of the changes.
The Company Row, on Victoria Road, has been run by pub manager Shelley Hobbs for more than 16 years. The pub first opened as a Wetherspoon in October 2002, and has undergone a full refurbishment to the customer area, as well as upgrades to the bar and kitchen.
The pub has been redecorated, including the installation of new light fittings, a new carpet and furniture refurbishment, and the customer toilets have also been completely refurbished.
Pub manager Shelley Hobbs said: "The £1.8 million investment highlights Wetherspoon’s commitment to the pub and its staff and customers, as well as to Consett itself. I am delighted that we have also been able to create five new jobs for local people, which will increase during the busier summer months.
"Myself and my team are looking forward to welcoming customers back into The Company Row and we’re confident that they will be impressed by the new-look pub."
