Town Moor Newcastle

The Town Moor is an area of common land in Newcastle bigger than Hyde Park and Hampstead Heath combined. It stretches from Newcastle city centre in the south to Gosforth north, Jesmond east and Cowgate west. Freemen of the city have the right to graze cattle on the moors but it is most famous for being the location of The Hoppings and the This is Tomorrow music festival
