One lane closed due to broken down vehicle on A1 Western Bypass
One lane closed due to broken down vehicle on A1 Western Bypass Southbound from J69 A692 Lobley Hill Road (Dunston Interchange) to J67 Kingsway South (Coalhouse Roundabout).
The road has now reopened on Williamfield Way
The road has now reopened on Williamfield Way, between Burnhill Way and Greenfield Way in Newton Aycliffe.
Road closure in Newton Aycliffe
Durham Constabulary is advising drivers that there is currently a road closure in place on Williamfield Way, between Burnhill Way and Greenfield Way in Newton Aycliffe. It will remain closed until around 7.30pm tonight (July 24).
Police and partner agencies are assisting with traffic control measures in the area and residents are expected to experience some delays.
Train returned to service
The earlier Metro where there was a medical emergency has returned to service.
