University of Sunderland
The University of Sunderland was established in 1992, having previously been Sunderland Polytechnic. The university has a city centre campus, a second in St Peter's and a third in London. The university has more than 13,000 students with notable alumni such as: Steven Cram, television presenter Ortis Deley and author of the Horrible Histories series, Terry Deary.
